I dunno, I feel a TA49 is a little small for your combo............ but thats just me.

I went from a PT51 & 50's to a GT6152 and 60's and the car feels like a monster. I wish I had your converter............

Boost is not a measure of power, MPH is...Whether he has to run 31 psi to run 121 or 15 to run 121 makes no difference, at 121 he should be much quicker than he is and that's what he needs to work on.

Get your 60' down and you will at least be in the low 11's solidly, then you will have a better foundation to work with.

If you can't get a 49 to 60' with ported heads and a 3200 stall a bigger turbo will just make the 60' even worse.

Exactly my point. He should be making 50-60hp more than he is based on the mph. Maybe the a/f is rich and the timing low. The TA49 has been 10.80's on an un-opened engine except springs. I dont have a legitimate drag strip mph for the 44 myself w/garrett .63 but i ran one a couple years back at 28-29psi and it g-teched the same as the 72 p-trim i put on there a day later but boost was 24psi. The car went 10.88@126 the day after that. I did a light launch too. The 44 would have went easy 10's the way i was running it probably at 124-125mph being worked hard. The 44 spooled as fast as i could floor it. At least 2x as fast as a stock car.

I would definitely try a 28" tire at that speed/power level.

+1 and throw in some C16 and run the timing up to 25-26*. Id bet if you dont blow through the converter you pick up 4mph

I am thinking the 49 is maxed out so that much boost is doing nothing for me but building heat over 24PSI, also my 60 are horrible 1.8's.

My 44 made more and more power the more i pushed it but i never went over 28-29psi. I had ported heads, 212 cam, and Precision intercooler.

I agree but he has a few more mph in there before its really being worked hard.
