I have GN1 heads and some old valve covers that are finned and have BUICK in large letters on the right half. I have no idea who made them. Push in breather is in middle. I have terrible oil leakage from the breathers so I have Mopar oil separarators with hoses.

I want to get new alum covers with breathers that won't leak. I saw pics of the Champion covers with their new angled breathers. Are they worth it (I hear they leak bad roo) or what would you get if you were buying brand new?

Thanks

Bumping this as I can't believe there are NO opinions???

Thanks - Terry

I recently bought a new set of TA valve covers with Metco breathers. I am hoping they don't leak and haven't heard of anyone unhappy with them yet. I sure like the look of the upright breathers with the black powdercoated covers as on Boston Boy's car on the left. The upright breathers should allow for the oil to drain back down into the cover instead of possibly dripping on the header. Right now, I am running the Buick Motorsport covers on the right. Never had a leakage problem with those. Just the KN breather when a PCV valve went out.

I just bought the low profile TA covers in the standard aluminum to use on my ported iron Champions with T&D roller rockers. I had a set of RJC spacers here, and used them with the TA covers. No problem getting the covers on the car even with the rockers. I had to remove the heat shield to get them on there. However, I LOVE THEM! They look great and, so far, do not leak at all. The breathers sit vertically, and the valve cover gasket area is very well finished. I initially wanted the black with the "buick" in aluminum, but they were out. I took the same set in bare aluminum, and am very pleased. They match the intake and look great. Counterman.
