What Windshield Washer Fluid = Highest Meth?

Which brand has the highest consentration of methanol? And what parts stores carry them thanks.

I just put a DIY kit on 1999 GTP and I beats my propane injection set up hands down. The propane didn't cool down anything. I can touch my Supercharger after running it hard and it cool as can be and the Throttle body is ice cold.

I'm running 14lbs of boost with my current set up.

Anyways if it doesnt specifically state whats in the bottle.. might as well put your garden hose rite in the tank..

If your serious about getting results, get the real deal and cut it down if you want too.. else your gambling.. I rather not gamble on something so cheap..

The lower the freezing temp is on the bottle, the greater amount of meth is in it. -40 below had supposidly 55% meth in it, thats from a link I read.

Razor is right though, not much backing up the consistancy of the bottle contents. But it probably is better than your hose if its able to go at least 20 below.

I want to go washer fluid also, but not many have come back on here with results or problems. Let us know how it goes.

OK I'll bite, that then is the most resonable source for alcohol injection? A friend has your kit but not installed it yet. I can't wait to see how it works. I'm saving for my own kit this winter

Is there a washer fluid brand that doesn't have a color dye in it?? If not, I wouldn't try to use it. Ever see that crusty blue stuff that builds up on the cap and top of the tank?? Imagine what your TB/intake would look like.

200 is a full rebuild on Reds car.. and bolts to spare. Actually I think money would be left over.

Ok.. with the non-sense.. See its like this. One person runs water injection. The results are great.. next someone says.. try 50/50.. its the bomb.. so they try 50/50 now its like.. the motor rips.. wow 50/50 rules.. but nobody tells this person.. hey try straight alcohol.. so 50/50 must be the e-ticket. Especially to those looking into aquamist setups.

Once you try straight.. you never go back to mix.

See its an easy test.. you get your knock readings at high boost 50/50 vs straight.. we'll see who wins. hands down.. straight. Once you have a system.. you can play chemist 50/50.. 70/30.. 30/70.. 90/10 etc.. figure what your car likes best. Post back. and do the tests at the track to make it scientific.

I'm taking bets.

54% Methanol in these bottles. Order it from them if you are worried about whats in the other blue bottles.

Its pretty much the cheapest 50/50 mix of water and meth out there.

If its harmful due to the blue dye, I do not know??
I have yet to hear someone on any board come on and say that the blue stuff turned their turbo ride into a cancerous smurf.

When I get Razors kit, I am probably going this route through those guys.

Still is flammable... I have never run the dye through my motor.. so dont know. I guess a simple test is get a container.. like a metal can.. put some liquid into it.. throw in a match.. see what residue is left?

Dunno of any other scientific method. Dont know if any long term effects to turbo, or valves, or ???

Anyone ever run race gas? Most of it has a ton of either red or blue die in it. The race gas we uses on are 750+ HP NASCAR race motors has a ton of red die, and it turns all the clear hoses pink and leave a pink residue in the carb and the intake runners, but has absolutely no affect on how it burns and causes no other problems. I would have to say that blue dye in the washer fluid would not have any harmful affects on your motors, especially with the small amount that actually goes though the motor.

Back to my question a few posts back.. why? Its still flammable..maybe not as much.. but is. And hands down the effects of straight vs mixed.. one is way better at knock control.

I'm more scared of the concentration issue than the dye itself. If the bottle doesnt list concentration.. then who knows what your putting in. Its not a regulated substance. So your better off mixing your own, than risking damage becuase the liquid you decided to use isnt what its suppossed to be.

I buy 100% methanol.. I know its 100% methanol.

Cant make it easier.

I don't get it - why are you guys being so cheap?? Methanol is $2.50 a gallon here - washer fluid $2 a gallon.

I'm with Razor on this one - I for one don't want washer fluid (soap - water - alky - dye) in my motor. Give me the straight stuff.
