My friend here locally has a WE4, for sale. 50,000 actual 1 owner miles. Paint is as good as origional gets, runs like a champ, posi, CSII, windows, locks, etc. Runs strong,,,,he wants 12750.00 and he is FIRM.

I think he is to high, at least for the market right now. Should I buy it based on what it will be worth down the road, or would you buy twobryans 16,000 mile WE4 that is primo for 16,000 dollars?

Just asking opinions here!!??

I know my local we4, and twobryans sounds like a real stand up guy! He sounds 100% honest.

Just want a few opinions here, but 1 of the 2 I will own before the end of the month.

I know Jersey, quit d***ing around and write the check!

50,000 miles ? I dont see the problem, sounds reasonable to me. Maybe slightly high but I dont think by much. If you're having a hard time finding one you may not want to skip out.

If the local guy won't budge any lower than $12750 I would pay $16k for twobryans car.If you went to resell the car you would be much better off trying to sell the 16k mile car.You will prolly take a bigger loss selling the one with 50k miles. Then again that is my opinion and in my area turbo Buicks don't bring much money compared to other states. I bet he couldn't get $10k for the 50k mile WE4 around here.

I dealt with twobryans last year in the purchase of my TTA. I had never bought a car long distance before but Bryan was a straight up guy and easy to deal with.

I would take the 16k mile car. For $3k you take 34,000 miles OFF the odometer. Your friend's car may be nice but that is a lot of money for a WE-4 with 50k miles in this economy. I would think $10k-$11k would be fair money for that car based on your description. Good luck with the purchase.

A WE4 has the same status no matter who you buy it from. I can tell you this from experience that if a WE4 is what you are looking for than go no further and buy twobryans and rest assured that it is a SOLID car. Solid from the seller, what it is, and as it's value. If you are not sure as to what to buy then wait. Twobryans is the guy all others wish to be except they don't have the quality cars that Twobryans has. If I'm wrong as to the description that is given on one of those cars I will eat dirt! I'm confident that I will maintain my current diet! Drew:)

I'd say they were both about $2K too high for the current market.

Hold out for an astroroof WE4. ;)

Just my .02 since you asked.

Sounds like the seller is $1000 to $2000 too high in my opinion. I think you can do better.

Are any of us?If we don't pay too much for a turbo Buick we usually dump too much $$ into it.

Do you want to mod the car? Do you want to race it? Do you want to just take it to shows and cruises? Big difference between a 15k and 50k car. Take whatever you would pay for a GN in the same condition and subtract 10-15%.

no racing here

Probably ever ,,,,,,,other than a little light to light action with 2 of the other turbo Buicks in town. I hope to never open the motor, put a fuel pump on it, high octane fuel, and play a little.

Wasn't too long ago (year-1/2?) I saw a GN parked at an auto parts store with a for-sale sign in it.

Pulled in to check it out. With the exception of a very small tear in the drivers seat (about 1/8" long) that next to the stitching (ez to fix?) this car was nearly flawless, not a scratch, swirl, ding, and the paint was original, The owner came out, and we'd talked for a bit. He didn't own a computer (un-aware of TB.com, etc), didn't know any other TR owners, he never raced it, and he was the second owner. Only mods were a KN filter, a hooker cat-back, and a Kenne-Bell GNX dash. He had the original dash in the trunk, total miles added up to just over 72k.

He was asking $10k.

If people are actually paying 12-14k for some of these cars, then THIS car was a steal...

Deals are out there, but finding them is another story!

I did not notice if you stated whether your buddy's car was a hardtop or not, and whther it is a highly optioned, medium optioned, or low optioned car?
Particulars please.
I am curious.

it is

A hardtop, nicely equiped, windows, locks, posi, CS2, etc. I will post the vin after Monday. I am going to get it tonight or Monday.
It has not been a 1/4 mile special by any means!
