What's going on w/my 2004r?

I am wondering if anyone can give me tips on to what could be going on. It is not all the time but most of the time that my car when in drive and I leave from a dead stop it shifts nice and hard from 1st to 2nd but then it immediately shifts to 3rd bogging the car down. This happens from what I can sense no matter whether it's hot or cold temperature outside or the car's temp. Then it is really sporadic and jerky when the car downshifts to come to a stop. Can anyone shed any light?

Thanks for the tech article, but my problem doesn't have any altered effect whether the car is cold or at operating temp.

The TCC solenoid is stuck on all the time. Problem could be electrical or mechanical. Do you have 12 volts on pin "F" on your ALDL connector with key on and in park?
