Whats the difference between the 84/85 BQ and the 86/87 BR coded trans?

Whats the difference between the 84/85 BQ and the 86/87 BR coded trans?

From what I found its only a differnce in the servo, am I correct?
If so I suppose the BR coded trans has the better servo?

Pretty much...
84/85 BQ codes and 86/87 BR codes valve bodies function almost identically, and the Br codes came with the 694 servo..

Need a BR servo?

If doing a rebuild the trans will get all the upgrades that happened around the 84-85 timeframe, hardened sun shell, etc.

Just wanted to know because I picked up a BQ and was not 100% sure of the difference.
