You need the right turbo, heads, intercooler and cam...did I mention good heads. The more the heads flow the less boost you'll need to run a #

This style buildup isn't discussed too often..It seems like the smartest way to make a 109 last...Could more details be given as to which turbo and cam to accomplish this ?

More often than not if someone runs low boost and goes fast they are revving to 6000+rpm and have more than the stock compression ratio. The bottom end has to be built accordingly or it will break just like when running lower rpm and 25-30psi boost. Keep in mind that the guys that posted above run a lot more than the boost it takes to get them in the 10's. Those were just the lowest they ran to do it. Most of their turbos werent even in the sweet spot yet.

this past saturday in 96* temps i went 10.54 at 129mph between 23psi to 24psi (had a little boost creep).. also had two other passes both 10.60's at 129 with POOR high 1.60's 60fts.. those too, were with 23psi

Tough question also as it applies to displacement, weight, rpm's, etc.

The only issue with running boost is temperature.Still nee HP to make a number. Heads and cam will get you there. Dont know if I'd run some of the cams race cars run on the street.. thats a fine line..

My car at 22 PSI ran 10.7 this past weekend.
