on a stock D5 converter?
not at 10 or 20 lbs, just what its rated at,
thanks

Thanks Dusty!

so probably similar with a 383 SBC,
I have a 2800 stall lock up available, but prefer to use the D5,

A 383 with the 3.75 stroke should stall over 2000 with a d5 unless its got a carb thats way out of tune down low causing a lazy engine.

its got a lazy driver! does that count?
not a race car, its a cruiser, putting a/c in it now, and stereo system,
seeking 20+ MPG .

on the gnttype.org site there was a listing of how to decipher the factory sticker on the converter.

you mean this one?

I posted that info and I have only seen ONE CACF converter. I don't know if it is just the area I am in but most of them are coded CB*F for the 1996 stall. I am sure in areas where there are more GNs, MCSS and 442s there will be more converters to check codes on.
