guys, got a question, i am replacing wheel cylinders and those retainers... bet you know what i'm going to ask... whats the trick? had to leave gn on stands last night, so i thought i'd ask before i got out of here to stare some more!!
thanks!
sorry i should have made it clear that i meant putting the retainer on. getting it out was not bad... tried socket needle nose, two screw drivers ....

some time they are a piece of cake & sometimes they are a PITA! I use a small hammer & a screwdriver put 1 side in & then tap the other side of the clip. I did a typhoon a few weeks ago & 1 side took me about a 1/2 hour.

i tried that once and it took flight, but i guess i can try it again, i'm sure i will try again, i will try anything at this point!!!

if need be you can always reuse your old one, it will go on much easier.(unless you destroyed it)

I forgot to tell you cuss at it REAL LOUD, loud enough so the neighbors can hear you. it don't help but it makes you feel better.

Pepboys has a cheap tool to take the retainers off.
