Hey Charlie...........When it's August, we can talk again. You'll have your A/C running 24/7 and I "might" have to sleep with the windows open.:p A few days a yr. it gets to 90* here. Where I live we get trade winds in the evening right off Puget Sound. Cools off usually right nicely in the evening. (Though I do have a window A/C unit if I "need" it. Anyting over 80* at night and I can't sleep.) Us Pacific Northwesterners have webbed hands and feet.

Well actually Ken, my house stays open during the summer and the bedroom is the only one that gets AC turned on during the summer, and only at night while I'm sleeping. I prefer hot weather myself and work out in it al the time. I just can't stand cold weather. If I could I'd be further north working in Canada in the oil industry.

Charlie........wait until August and we can compare weather. You can have that 115* weather. I'll take rain and 68* over THAT anytime. I can't function when it's over 85* or so. Hate it. We had 100*+ a couple of years ago. Had to work in a cargo hold of a 787 and had to be over 140* in there. MAN...15 minutes I was SOAKED with sweat and dang near passed out. YUK!! Good Gore-Tex and I'm good to go in heavy rain. Not unusual for it to rain three weeks with out stoping here. Drizzle is "expected" 365 days a year. That's why we are so green around here. (and moldy:))

Here's my Gordon Setter in the snow and Washington State's prized "critter" Banana slug. They're everywhere. It's just gross to watch ducks suck them up like jello shooters. eeeeewwwwwww!

LOL I'd bet those slugs would make great fish bait Ken. As far as rainy and cold, you can keep it. I still prefer the heat any day. I can imagine that your weather would be great to do rust blueing though.

Chicago is getting hammered right now. They said 4 to 9 inches. This stuff sucks

We got the 4" here, guess that means you got the 9? That was some bullchit around midnight! But it finally caked to the frozen undercoating on the pavement by 4-ish and I was able to get 65 outa mama's car without the squiggly lines for the traction control being on the whole time!;) I like snow! Drifting isn't so hard on the car:D And all the sheep just GTFOTW as I blaze a new trail in the passing lane!!!! It's like dirt trackin without the spine rattling!!!!:D Can't wait to get mine back out and play next week!!!!

hahahaha.. funny how different people are.. My wife hates snow and will not leave the house. Thats how she was brought up .. Me ??? If its anything including a blizzard I am out there  Getting a glamorized 3-5"s today.

More like teased. Still waiting to use the snowshoes I got for Christmas.

The now is 6" deep in my neck of the woods. Not one town in Plymouth County has been plowed. Not even the highways. Its absurd.

Well the grass is green and the sun is nice and bright here Zack.

Hey Grumpy, happy now? Just got done shoveling 8" of "where is winter" in North Haven CT. Snow capital of CT in 2011.

Bright side, don't have to shovel the sidewalks at the new day job. Landscaper takes care of that.

Bet Salvage is out playing in this crap with his GN!

hahahaha... well we prob got 5"s here today ... Nice an light.. Good exercise for an old buzzard at my age. Everyone around me used their snow blowers. An Me being a manly man just used a shovel :p I really don't mind the snow to much. Its the freezing cold an wind that pisses me off.

We got about 1" here overnight. Used my 4x4 for the first time this season. Made it to work no problems. Also drove in it for about 7 hours in a big ol' UPS truck. That was fun... Tailsliding around and not getting traction until 4th gear. Constantly shortshifting 2-3 all day. Was alot of fun. Managed to not hit anything either.

I had a blast in my little 86 Nissan 720 4x4! Sliding everywhere! Then I put it in four wheel, no more sliding.

Yeah, it's a little unnerving when the tail end of a 20,000lb. vehicle comes around on you lol

Come on Dan........the only reason you don't use a snow blower is because you're into TURBO'S, and think "Blowers" are for kids that can't weld headers and intake tubing.:p Now, if Sears made a Snow TURBO you'd be all over it. Well, at least you'd set it up and have Melissa "drive" it. We all know she is the reason the car runs so good. Takes a womans touch to make it all work right. Me.......I just sit inside and wait for the rain to wash it all away in a day or two. Two days ago we had 14", today.....it's all gone. Rain and 40* is a better way to remove snow if you ask me.:) Now we are back to our normal rain and low 40's for the next week. And I work outside. (well I'm "employed" outside anyway.)

A little over a week ago we had a decent snowstorm in CT. All gone now and nipping at 60 degrees today so the Buick came out for a little exercise. A special thanks to the minivan driver beyotch trying to pass me on the right at an intersection by curb riding. Hope she enjoyed the smell of BFG drag radials roasting.
