I've read that the coating that was used on the GNX heat shield and up-pipe is "Ceramatel".

I am interested in having my pieces re-coated and was wondering if anyone knew where I could get the same coating? Can this also be used on headers and downpipe?

A similar post was placed in the GNX forum, resulting in no responses.

Thanks,
-john

No clue, but I had my pipes done in a ceramic aluminum matte finish and it's damn close. Unfortunately the place is closed so I have no clue what manufacturer was used or even what the color was called.

You can try nitroplate in tennessee. Also I remember a company called Tech Line Coatings. They offered some different types of coatings as well as colors.

Thanks for the leads!

I found the following websites:

Welcome to Techline Coatings

Welcome To NitroPlate!

According to Nitroplate's website, their product is on the tips of Ford Lightnings. I wonder if that is what they are calling the 'Nitroplate Satin'? It's more glossy than the 'ceramatel' on the GNX heatshield.

I use a lot of Techline coatings. They seem to hold
up just fine so far.
