Which line on the side of a 2004r goes to a cooler, which line is the return line?

Tried searching, but keep getting an errror message.

Which line/fitting on the side of a 2004r goes to a cooler, which line is the return line? I got a hole in the stock trans cooler line so i removed both of them and forgot to check. I was planning on replacing the stock lines with a rubber stainless steel hose instead.

Cooler line location

The top cooler line is discharge or OUT. The bottom line is return or IN.
If you want to measure temp, use the return (IN) port for the sensor. This is the oil you want to know the temp of.
