On this project Performance will not be effected even if i put a 1 inch diameter muffler.

Glass packs do work well as a resonator, however the vibrant ultra quiet resonator is a staight through perforated core design that's half the size and almost half the volume of a 20" long magnaflow performance muffler with a 4" round case used as a resonator.
I wanted to emphasize this as the OP is looking for very quiet.
I consider a glass pack as a resonator to be regular quiet, that's probably just me. Neither is probably quiet enough for the OP.

The Vibrant ultra quiet resonator is what made my '94 Olds Cutlass Supreme Convertible a pleasure to cruise the parks with the top down visiting with the fam. I know it's a different car, but should still apply.

I never tried it but maybe you could make a restrictor sleeve and put it in the pipe somewhere and keep the same muffler you have?

I am going to give this a shot.
I am going to pick up a J-Cap and drill a one inch hole in the middle of it and start playing with that.
