Want to try a new spark plug Which is prefered on a heavy modded car with boost in the 28psi range? I see the Autolite AR23 and AR24 in the search.

Also are the 23's still a good choice with alky injection?

I think so. Mine seems to like both the 23R's and plain 23's.

Our combos are VERY similar with biggest difference being the turbo. Mine is a 6265 JB.

Noble Shootout is coming back in 2013 and I've got a chance to race both BG 2012 TAI finalists at Noble next fall. Known James for several years and Tim has been a consistent racer at at Noble but I can't say I've ever met him.
Be a state pride deal as James is from Arkansas, Tim is from Texas and I'm an Okie. If we can get Jim Rasmussen from Nebraska to get involved, we'd have some pretty good races.

Recommended gap for 25-26#'s of boost?

My opinion would be 0.028".

Depending on what boost level, you may want to go colder, but read your plugs after a WOT run to see how they look, and go from there.

same question... but i am going to run 20-22 lbs of boost with alky, pump gas. i bought autolite 23's... ta49 turbo, 50# injectors, stock motor, what gap you guys recommend on plugs? mostly street driven...but will be in the boost from time to time.. ;)

At my work we already picked vacation for next year and the Noble event was always my first pick so unless I'm scheduled off not sure if I can make it
I have been running autolite 23 gapped at tight .30 running 24 to 28 psi with no issues

Sure is , I played around with .28 can't even remember why I went back to tight .30 , but I have had no problems with stock ignition

ar24's are perfect for street use with alky injection. The ar23's are a little to cold.

There are too many variables involved to make that statement. 400 WHP car on 22#'s of boost and a 625 WHP car on 25#'s of boost are entirely different animals.

Running a Weber 109 stroker, 67 turbo, 83 lb injectors, and FAST XFI for two seasons. Using AR24's with single nozzle alky and 30lbs of boost. Plugs look perfect tan color. I tryed 23's and looked like they were a little to dark in color for me. I think if the OP is not detonating then run the hotter plug on the street. Gap is set to .030

You have a much stronger combo than I expected.

What fuel are you running at 30#'s and single line of alky? What times are you running at the track?

The XFI should meter fuel with more accuracy than a ECM/chip combination. I run a TT SD chip and this is my first go round with AR23's with a PLX WB and they have been darker than I like. Think I'll try a set of AR24's at .30 gap and see how that works.

I am already planning to come. Have a new DLS motor and I should be in TSM trim also. John Plog I am sure will be there also. I am running the AR23 plug.

Glad you guys are coming. Just the two of you or others? Nebraska folks are welcome in Oklahoma ever since the football team moved to the PAC 10.:)

With a TSM level car, you'll probably smoke the rest of us as we'll be running TAI level cars. I'm shooting for a 10.0 and 135 so I can be in the top 10 on the fastest 93/alky list posted on this board. Got a few guys posting 9.40's and my car is too heavy and my turbo is too small for that.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.
