I've e-mailed several vendors about this, but I've not gotten anything back yet..

I have a WE4 that I want to beef up. It has a hot wired Walbro, an adjustable regulator, and an Orange Stripe (advertised 3000 stall). I plan to upgrade to 60lb. injectors, and alky injection wouldn't be out of the question in the future. I will also upgrade my intercooler, probably to a Precision stock location.

I started off by being pretty sure a TE60 was my best bet, but the PTE6131 sounds good too. I like the sound of the newer (GT) turbos spooling quicker, but I don't want whichever I go with to nose over at the top end of the quarter. Do I have enough stall to pull off a PTE6152 ? How much more power could I get from Cotton's CPTE60 over a regular TE60? I'm not interested in a BB turbo.

The car will not be a daily driver, but I want it to be a very streetable low to mid 11 second runner.

With a 3000 stall, the 6131 would be a good choice. A TA-49 would take you to your goal of mid 11s (pushing it hard) with the 60s and alky.

Go BB, and you could step up to a 6776/66 and have 10 second potential.

From everything you've said, and not wanting to go bb, then I would recommend the PT6131E in journal bearing form. It will give you mid to low 11 second capability with the supporting mods you've listed. It will also spool up well with the 3000 stall converter you have. The PT6152E will require more stall speed to spool up quickly. Typically 3200-3400 stall is required due to the larger turbine wheel.
You will be very happy with that combination with 60#ers, a TT chip, alky and a PTE Stock Location IC. Traction and launching with decent boost on either race gas or alky and boost on 22-26 will be what it will take to reach consistent mid to low 11s in a 3550# car with driver.
SouthernCal GN is right, you will want to upgrade to a 66 or 67 bb once you get into the low 11's and start to want to go faster.

Currently I have a TE60 with a 2800 12" and it spools fast. With your stall go bigger, go BB.

I'm assuming you have a stock engine but what turbo would be good with ported heads and bigger cam?

Thank you for all the replies so far. The car is all stock, besides the bolt ons I listed, with 40k miles.

mellowspace, any of the turbo's you have listed will support in the area of 600 hp and your car should not nose over in the 1/4.there isn't a huge power increase between the te60 and 6131.it's funny, just about every upgraded turbo even the stock one has made it into the mid-low 11 sec range so they all work!my view is you could just get a larger neck for the intercooler and add alky injection this way you have some more fuel and cooling, grab a scantool play with the tune, and then work from there.
