Who actually made the GNX?
Did the GNX roll out of the buick plant a GNX or a GN?

It rolled out of the GM plant as a GN, chosen at random for "GNX-ification".

ASC is the company that then made the modifications to the cars to make them a GNX at their own production facility. ASC manufacturer labels were attached to the car in several places (door jamb/heater box) to indicate the car had been modified by ASC subsequent to its initial build by GM.

So the GNX is actually a modded GN.

The GN's were not pulled at random, they were all optioned alike and they all had "GNX" on the build sheets.
