They are one of the importers of chinese made engine parts, ( like K1- CAT-Scat- etc)
I have a set of those rods, they checked out fine, ( round, and in spec)
 
A third hole is drilled at top of the small end to bleed air in the aerated lube system to protect piston pin from direct impact.

What does this mean? I was unaware our cars were equipped with an aerated lube system. And what is going to impact the piston pin directly, or indirectly for that matter?
 
Have no clue but less then $50 a steel rod is dirt cheap. Thats why I question it.
 
Look at the pin diameter. Those are for floating pin pistons. That's why the extra hole.
