I am interested in who makes the input shafts not just sells them? I have been waiting for one for 2 months, if thats the normal time maybe its time to move onto a different tranny.

Appreciate any info.

Chuck

Hey Chris,

Eric order one Wednesday and was told he would have it in 3 days, as of Monday no input shaft?

After waiting for 2 months already I am a little inpatient and don't want to be stringed along again.

Can you email me the tracking number so I can see it was mailed as said.

If It Was Ordered Wednesday It Left On Thursday.arizona Is 3 To 5 Business Days From Ny.sometimes It Takes 2.no One Is In The Office Today For The Tracking Number And I Dont Know How To Retrieve Itover The Computerwe Dont Make A Living Stringing People Along,we Deliver.thanks For Placing Your Order With Us And Be Patient.

I will try to be patient, Eric ordered it first thing Wednesday morning (at my request) so I presumed it went out Wednesday since we were in a hurry for it. I would appreciate you still emailing me the tracking # when someone is back in the office and I will let you know if I don't get it by Thursday. Just to make sure, it should have went to New Mexico and not AZ. I figure it was just a typo.

Thanks
Chuck

Relax there, guy. Chris will deliver, no worries. It usually takes at least two days to get to Central Illinois...

Let me explain my experiences so far. We ordered a input shaft from PTS. We were told that they should be in Monday (that was Wednesday). Next Wednesday I call to see if its been shipped. NO, the supplier has put them off because they are a little order and big orders have priorty. I don't like the answer but I understand they don't have control over this. So for the next 4 weeks I call on Wednesday and I am told they should be in Monday (4 weeks), I am patient because I understand they do not control the situation. So the fourth week I decieded I better order a 9-11 billet torque converter. Gave my credit card info and car info. I am told that they should have the converter by Monday and will ship to me. Next week I call Wednesday to see on the input shaft. They are made now and will have by Monday. WWWHEEEW it's coming. Again next Wednesday, did it ship? NO it is at heat treating. Still being patient. but will be in friday or monday. Ok how is the torque converter coming? What torque converter? Ok, people make mistakes so I sucked it up and gave my CC info and car info again, Mark apologized and called the shop to rush it and said will have it Monday and will ship to me the same day. Ok still being patient. So Tuesday I call to check on input shaft- no its at deburring this week, should be in soon last thing to do to them. So I post here - who makes them not just sell them. Chris post I do. I have Eric order one there, Eric is told that CK gets the input shaft from the same place PTS does and if PTS can't get it, Ck probably can't. When Eric calls he his told he will have it in 3 days. He order it Wednesday morning. I figure maybe Saturday (depend on how it was sent), Monday by the latest (taking who ever told us 3 days by their word). Oh and I checked on my Torque converter for the 2nd time to see if it went out Monday like I was told. Nope they were at Vegas but will go out today (tuesday). Ok I can understand they forgot they would not be there Monday because they are busy people and forgot they would be at Vegas. WELL again I call Wednesday the next week (suppose to shipped tuesday- 8 days ago and should have been in last friday). After all the problems with the order and the fact they didn't recieve it when they should have. They did not check into it until I called a week after they should have had it. The shop making it shipped it to the old PTS address (how many has he shipped to them since they moved, 50 , 100?) and went back to him. They will have him ship it again and they should have it by Monday and will over night to me. I lost my confidence now and asked them to cancel my order. They have charged my card for the converter back on the 12th (2nd time I order) and still till today they have not credited my card back. I called yesterday and Mark said Bruce would credit it yesterday (5 days after I cancelled the order). I am sorry but that is alot of mistakes and I would think that they have ordered input shaft in the past and would have know if they take a week to heat treat, a week to deburr, and that the first 5 weeks they should have know that they would not be in the next Monday since they would still need heat treating and deburring.

So in short I am a little gun shy now. As post above I will try to be patient a little longer but it would be nice to see a tracking number to know it was shipped.

I realize the buick community is a small community compared to others but I would just be happy if someone tells you something that you can take them at their word. I would be happy with just that!

I know there are plenty who do, so please don't flame with all those that do, it is not meant as a blanket description for all.

you will have the tracking number when my wife comes in tomorrow.OUR SHAFTS ARE NOT FROM PTS OR TCS.THEY ARE CKPERFORMANCE SHAFTS.WE OWN THE CUTTER,WE OWN THE PROGRAM FOR THE C AND C MACHINE.OURS ARE DIFFERENT.THE SPLINE LENGTH IS LONGER,THERE IS NO ROLLED RADIUS AFTER THE SPLINES,THE CHARGE HOLE IS DIFFERENT ,THE HEAT TREATING PROCESS IS DIFFERENT ETC.THE SHAFTS ARE MADE BY OUR MACHINIST(WHO DOES WHATEVER MACHINING WE DO ON THE PREMISES THAT I DONT DO) AT HIS DAY JOB IN AN AEROSPACE COMPANY 20 MINUTES NORTH OF OUR LOCATION.THE SHAFTS ARE HEAT TREATED AND CHECKED FOR STRAIGHTNESS AT THE FACILITY AND SHIPPED FROM THERE IF THE CUSTOMER IS WAITING OR FROM HERE IF THERE IS A STOCK ON THE SHELF.WE USUALLY ALWAYS HAVE THEM AND OUR BILLET DRUMS AT EITHER LOCATION OR AT OUR CANADIAN BRANCH AS WELL AS PUERTO RICO.im sorry to hear about your experience but TCS has proven to us to be a liar.ask anyone who purchases from him.any converter company.he was dishonest, disrespectful and rude to us and i hope he feels the loss of our 75 grand a year purchases.i took action.

That's CNC Chris... Computer Numerical Control. The sequences are essentially a set of 3D coordinates and numerical commands.

Just being an a$$ and givin ya a hard time  after all that yelling, take it easy for the rest of the night

after all this time people still think we are using pts components and logic.thats frustrating not because i dont think pts products are quality ,we are a completely original and unique entity.btw the machine that we do the shafts on is a haas.

Actually Chris I was told you and PTS use the same 3rd vendor for input shafts not that you use PTS input shafts. But its good to know you have your own complete line. Once I recieve the input shaft I will post to let you know.

Thanks
Chuck

I was made aware of this today

And contacted Chuck myself to make things right. He will be getting one of Chris' input shafts. Chris does produce his own so.... I do not know where this rumor of PTS and CK using the same source came from. It did not come from us or me. Yes we have been delayed in receiving product but all of the country has had issues due to the weather around the country. However, as far as the converter is concerned, I made it right , even though it was a third party holding up the works. I would be a little upset too and I conveyed this to Chuck. I made every attempt to make things right and I feel Chuck and I have reached a agreement and he WILL receive his converter by Friday. I have to admit I have been away for a bit in Vegas then problems on farm when I returned home. But I still made the effort and will continue to. Again, I apologize to Chuck for any inconveince.
At PTS we do not have a track record of screwing people. I was as mad as Chuck when I first heard about this, but all should be handled and considered water under the bridge.
Good luck Chuck.

Well, its 11:23 New Mexico time (1:23 pm New York time) no input shaft and no tracking number. Still being patient. :frown:

Bruce did contact me and we did come to agreement. Although some of it was not their fault, part was, like losing my card info the first time and not crediting my card back even as late as when we spoke last night. But all is good now, I do plan on having the torque converter checked out locally to confirm no problems that have been report on the board about runout. Bruce did apologize for the mistakes and did not make any excuses. And I appreciated it.

Just in case anyone is wonder what this is going into it's a 65 Corvette with ZL1 Ram Jet backed up with 200r4 (billet everything), Tom Differential (12 bolt IRS), VBP Tubular a-arms, Rack Pinion steer, shooting for 2700 lbs, 200 shot nitrous.

Michelle here from CK. I just checked with the shipping company and of no fault of ours the package was delayed at the depot. it wasnt scanned in until 7:20 am on Monday. The estimated t.o.a. is Friday. however the status shows that it is out with the curriour. I would think that thurs or fri you will have the shaft. Thank you for your patience, if I could have delivered it to you personally than i would have but unfortunately I have to depend on shipping companies :( Thanks again, Michelle

NO not high maintance, just want a supplier to do what they say the will. You tell me you're going to give me a tracking number do it. If you say I should have it 3 days I expect it sometime near 3 days. Some people like to know who's good to their word. I am will to pay extra for quality and service as I have. As for hurry I've been waiting for 2 months now, you might think that's a hurry I don't but you have your right to your opinion. I hope you are treat the same someday and I will be the first to remind you of your opinion.

Thanks for the reply Michelle, any chance on emailing me the tracking number? I did not expect you to personally deliver it and I don't blame you for shipping problems for ups(or other shippers). So I assume by "scanning in" that mean they say they did pick it up until Monday morning?

Thank You

well the delay was this .the package was shipped from our machinist on friday, not thursday.he was phoned on wednesday and told to ship on wednesday.they use our dhl account and the package must then be sent to our local depot before it gets shipped, hence the delay.if the truth is not enough we will gladly return your money. my philosophy is always to accomplish the job,to get up and act,to deliver as promised and to tell the truth.
