WHO MAKES THE BEST CONVERTER FOR OUR CARS. I HAVE A T-66 TURBO SO EVERYONE SAYS I NEED A 3500-3800 STALL. WHATS THE DIFFERANCE BETWEEN NON-LOCK UP AND LOCK UP... 5 DICS OR SINGLE DISC. WHATS THE DIFF ???

everyone around here is promoting and selling great product.check us out if you like .lock up allows the engine and transmission to rotate at the same rpm eliminating the innefficiency of the fluid coupling with a non lock design.this choice will depend on the intended application.this rpm differential is usually 200 to 300 rpms depending on the convertors efficiency.i dont know much about the vigilante as used by others but we dont sell them here ,only protorque and tcs.im sure others can fill you in on the vigilante as it is periodically spoken of on this board and according to users it has a good reputation.i have had limited experience with it and some were not good ,vibrations and rattles with the multi disc although the convertor performed as it was supposed to.it may be inherent in the design i am told.

Lots of good ones out there. Definately go with a 9"
I personally use a Bowler trans/Champ 9" ultralight and it works GReat!
Like I said, buncho good ones around,,,do a search, this is an often discussed subject.

I have a T-66 on the car.
Ijust changed the converter from an AC 9in non lock up, to a 9/11 and am very pleased. It is a 3400 stall unit and spools well. Driveability is great.
Thanks,
Brian
