who make the best. I have a atr ext wategate and I think I would like to get a better wastegate. Seems mine is getting very slow to spool and I also have a little bit of creep. I called John at limit engineering and he does'nt mess with them no more and ATR going bankrup, I think it maybe time to move to something else. So what is the best wastgate and can I use the atr downpipe with it?

A Turbonectic Race Gate or Innovative Pro Gate should be close.
I am not sure if they will bolt right in though. They are good for about 900HP of flow.

My friend Jamie ownes TurboSmart USA. They have some decent products. I really like their new line of stuff that comes in a stealth black color. BOVs, Boost controlers, etc. Maybe the shape of their Wastegate will fit right in? You can get it cheaper from Jamie, but Jeggs sells also. Tell him Scott sent ya, the Buick dude.
I was having some sever turbo surge at gear changes on the street, I put in a turbosmart BOV, and now back to smooth. T70 turbo was the first one I had that made car act weird at part throttle.

I just sent my ATR wastegate to Limit to be freshened up. Its $25 plus whatever parts need replacing. I just spoke to chopper about it last week.:)

Many will prolly argue that the HKS is the best. I however run a TIAL 46mm unit. IMO don't waste your money on the ATR, it won't last.

I have had my ATR gate on my car for 8 years. I had it rebuilt last year. Never really had any issues with it besides needing a rebuild after 7 years. But I am sure there is much better stuff out there now. Probably depends more on your application and what you need to make one of them work on your DP or wherever you place it. I thought about getting a different gate when my ATR "froze". But I am plug and play kind if guy. So I took a chance getting my ATR gate fixed.
