i work at s-k speed in long island new york, everyone gives me crap for having a buick , mostly ford and chevy guys i work with. i just downloaded that video and everyoen crapped theyre pants when u smoked the TIRES! on the dyno

Chris is the original owner of this 87 WE4.

It has been street raced with a stock block motor
for several years. It was feared in SJ for along time.

He then upgraded to a Duttweiler 272 Off Center
with some very small 60-1 HIFI turbos. It made
1021hp with those small units. He ran the best of
9.17 @ 149 with more to go before I found him a deal
on his current motor.

The current motor is a championship Duttweiler built
Rieger raced 390ci TT SBC. It made almost 1800hp
at Kenny's shop. Chris has only been out a couple
times with this motor. His best pass so far is 8.51 @ 162.

This car has uses a stock susupension set up by Wolferacecraft.
He has a Motec that he tunes him self.
The tranny is a t-400 by Bruce

He runs 160 injectors and a weldon 2035pump.
He bought a ford 9 inch off of my old race car.
He designed the headers and had them built custom for
his application.

That is all I can think off of the top of my head.

Eric Rankin's car did the same thing. Kept smoking the tires then he maxed out the dyno at 1200 HP and no, his car is not a V8.

That car is awsome. I hope he has the best T400 money can buy in it. My friend has a 85 Monte SS with 509 BBC and twin turbos that made 1800 on the engine dyno. After several 1/8 mile runs he decided to air it out. The tranny blew on the line setting the car and my friend on fire. Three weeks in the hospital. the forward and intermediate drums blew and parts knocked off the halon nozzle and pinched off the line. Chris, if you're reading this, please be careful.

No trans shield? Drums blowing should not have showered the car in parts, if you had a shield in place?
