Wide Band 02 sensor pipe lenght?

How much lenght of pipe do you need past the 02 sensor? I heard that you need a minimum of collector diameter times 10.For example 4 inch collector needs 40 inches past the 02 sensor in order to work correctly.Is this true?How can you run open hedders?in open loop?Need help guys!!

I had the same question a week or so back and was told buy guys on the board that atleast 10inches past the 02 should be fine. I have about that on one side and about a foot and a half on the other and seems to be doing fine.
