will the metal boots fit over Magnecore 8.5mm plug wires ?

I need new wires and would like to keep the metal boots. Can I use the Magnecor 8.5mm or do I need to stay with 8mm ?
What other brands or sizes would fit where I can still use the metal boot?

I've got Taylor wires made for a GN. I think they're 8mm and the metal boots will fit on there fairly tightly. You could cut a little bit of the rubber towards the top and they'd fit fine (you'd cut so little and the location plus the added covers they'll still perform perfectly fine). They were only like $50 or $60
