I am having a lot of excess wind noise with the GN that just got repainted. I have all new GM seals(roof, door, dew sweeps). Doors are adjusted properly, body lines look good for a 22 year old car.

I put the seals etc back on the car, body shop adjusted the doors before I picked it up. Yesterday body man made some fine adjustments. Window seals look almost perfect doors shut nice.

The noise is coming from the A pillar area, lower area almost the area around the dash area. I see nothing abviously wrong. I have 2 other cars to compare to. Starts about 35 mph and up.

I have the plastic peices under the windsheild trim peices. However there are to big plastic trash bag looking like peices under the big peice that the wipers rest one that I did not put back on because they ripped when I took them off.

Anybody have any tips?

Here's a link to some pics for those that haven't seen the car.http://www.turbobuick.com/forums/virginia-area/274115-more-paint-pics.html#post2107121

just want to say that you really have to play with these windows to get them to seal. i have gm seals also and i hear the noise from the same place. its all about adjusting the windows.

I also have new seals, installed Kirbans window rattle elimination kit, spent a ton of time messing around w/ door and window adjustments, and have the same issue.

The glass appears to be going up tight against the top seal, if I go any more it starts to bind. Dont know what to tell ya, I spend most of my time driving the car w/ the windows either down or cracked slightly.

Update

Sat I talked to the body man. He adjusted the windows drove it no difference.
Last nite I took the weatherstipping off the roof rail. I resealed the track to the body with butal tape(from the body shop). Reinstalled everything, drove it today and it's much better. Now I need to redo the pass side. I used doubled tape,it was not sticky enough or thick enough. Lesson learned.

never thought of using thicker tape for the channel. gonna try that.thanks.

I re-did mine a few years ago. All GM OEM. I even used the book from Kirbans and have countless hours adjusting and cursing... It's ok but not perfect... I don't have the patience...
