Wanted to know if the tan/blk wire from ECM is a direct run of wire to ign module tan/blk? Wondering if there is a break in wire could i run and splice new wire in between ECM & ign module? Have a code 42 killing me and my car tired of replacing parts, Thanks

Yes it is a straight run.

Best way to check it is with an ohm meter and both plugs UNplugged one from the ECM, and the one from the Module.

One probe of the meter needs a long wire on it as a probe to one of the locations, length and type of wire isn't important 18-22 gauge single conductor works fine with a clip on one end to attach to the meter probe.

Wiggle the wire at each end while testing, if it stays low ohms the wire is good most likely.

Read it to a good ground on the ohms scale as well with connectors unplugged to check for a ground short.
