Ok, I've got a 86 T-type that refuses to crank.

I've checked fuel pump fuse, it's fine
I've checked for spark at the coil pack, got spark
I've checked injector connector, it's got power
I've checked the ignition module, it's ok

I can also hear the fuel rail pressurize and my gauge is reading 40lbs fp. I pulled a spark plug it smells like fuel, so the camshaft position sensor should be fine and according to the test I did on the ignition module the crank sensor should be fine. I don't think I've left anything out. Any ideas are welcome.

Thanks

Try Cam sesnor Cap

I had same problem everything checked ok, put a new cam sensor cap on car fired right up first time after two months and SEVERAL Hours of checking everything three or four times!!!
Maybe not your problem but if have access to another can not hurt to try.

Thanks for the reply. I had kinda ruled that out but it may be worth trying anyway. I'm running out of things to try.

Thanks for the help.

I hate to sound like a jerk, but there is a difference between no crank and no start,i'm always having to tell the service writers the same thing. If you want the correct help for a stated problem make sure you are wording it right.

So the engine doesnt crank at all? id look at the starter first since you must have bat power to do those tests you did. try tappin on the starter with a wooden hammer HANDLE, not the head, the handle, while a buddy keeps turning the engine from off to crank. of course check the wires to the starter too though.

My point exactly, if it doesn't crank, it might be the fusible link by the starter is bad assuming that you have a good battery and cable. Or an alarm cut off that is prevents the starter from cranking. So which one is it? No crank or cranks but no start?

Thanks for all the comments guys. I should have been more specific the motor turns over but the car would not run. I did finally get it to crank. I changed the spark plugs and cam sensor cap but that did not make a immediate difference. I took a screw driver and tapped on each injector and after that if finally started and idled (roughly). Now the car has no power. So, I think I may have clogged injectors. I'm going to send them off and have them cleaned and tested. We will see what happens from there. Thanks again for all the help.
