Anybody going to be at the World Street Nationals in Orlando?? It's Oct.15-17 and i'll be in town 14-18. I have to be there thursday also for the car show and cruise at Race Rock!!! Frank

I'll be there with a few friends. That race was a BLAST last year :)

I'll also be down there with a few friends starting friday. Its getting to be a massive race. Make sure and get there "early" Sat and Sun mornings otherwise you'll be sitting on either side of 50 waiting to turn in for 25 min.

Yeah me and a few friends have been flying down for it the past 3 years. What a blast!!!!:D Frank

Will there be a Buick meeting somewhere?

Scott

I wouldn't mind running into a few faces down there and shootin the breeze so I'll make a suggestion:

Since Sat schedule is: Gates & Tech open at 9 AM - Qualifying noon 'til 10:00 PM and since everyone will want to get a seat early and maybe choke down some $4 burgers before everything starts at noon, how about we meet at the scales at 10am?

of course open to opinions....

All the fast cars are going to be in Huntsville in Nov. 5th, 6th, 7th.
;)

Or you could just come over to my air conditioned trailer. I will be there all weekend.

Thats sounds cool!! What does your rig look like Cal?? Where do you usually try to park? FREE beer and topless dancers at Cal's!!!:D  Frank

I will be pitted with the Drag Radial cars (walk south until it gets dark out, then your half way). I'll have Mike Dee's Red 95 Mustang in my trailer.

Not gonna run your car this year Cal? Can't say I blame you considering they (Carl and Randy) won't even give you a weight break for a V6, but a SB/Nitrous car gets to deduct 300lbs... Is Scott (runner up last year in Radial Tire) going to be there with his turbo Stang as well? It should be interesting to see how many cars in the Radial Tire class will show up with the new M/T Radials and if that will cause any controversy...

Did they ever get Paul Efantis sorted out with his Supra? Is he going to be allowed to run this year?

I doubt it for two reasons.... He is using two poweradders and I'm not sure he can make the minimum weight of 3400lbs although last I heard the car weighed 3315lbs w/ driver so that's not too far away from 3400... Not sure if you're aware, but that Supra recently ran 7.906 @180.77mph on a 325/50R15 BFG DR making it the fastest and quickest BFG car...

Here is a vid of it running 8.05 @179mph before the 7.90 pass...

They need to do away with all these BS rules, and make it a true drag radial shootout. All they need are two rules:

1) Weight requirement. Don't give a **** what kind of vehicle you own, you must weigh X.

2) Drag radial.

THAT would be fun to watch :)

Yup I agree that would be fun to watch... Sort of like an Outlaw DR class... Run whatya brung and hope you brung enough!

I agree, but its still fun to watch a non tube chassis car on DR's run a number to see just how far a "street car" can be pushed. Like Cal's car

Scott's car won't be ready this year. He is stepping the engine up quite a bit, and didn't get it finished in time thanks to Mother Nature (two hurricanes).

I will have 3-4 customers cars running DR this year. Because of this, I won't have time for my own car (not sure I can make the field anyway). I will be tuning on:

Mike Dee's 95 Mustang with a new 106mm turbo on it. We just got a set of M/T 315/60's for it yesterday. I'll be suprised if we get low qualifier again this year, but, if the track is there, we should see some low 8's.

Dave Burgess' 74 Nova with an intercooled F-3 on it. We just fired it up last night for the first time with the new fuel injection on it. I'll be doing some serious time on the dyno with it, as soon as I get back from Vegas

Glen Adam's 93 Mustang with a 101mm turbo on it. I rented the track with it yesterday, and things look promising. Glen is still getting his feet wet, but, I think the car has a mid 8 in it when we turn up the boost.

Come and find us in the pits, all 3 cars are red with "Hartline Performance" stickers on them.

Hey Cal. Look for a friend of mine, He is crew chief for Craig Pio's
10.5 outlaw turbocharged camaro, His name is Bill Scivener.
He is the guy that will be setting up my suspension so ill have no excuses in BG this year:)

Cal, is that the Green notch that was there with you last year? :)
