WOW! That is the word to describe that price. It does look like a nice original though.

This is about 2 hrs. Away from where I live, they have an amazing inventory. There is another GN a few minutes from my place with about 4,000km on it for 29,000 Canadian that's about 20,000 US dollars with our crap exchange rate.

HAHAHA

If this is true then you need to go buy that car. 2400 miles for $20k? Is a steal!!

Amazing what some good lighting, a good camera and a nice detail will do.
Car looks like a GMP model.

And when I was selling my 1,400 mile GN , was told " I " was asking an outrageous amount of money !!!!!

Damn...that car is a time capsule....Probably the one of the nicest TBs I've ever seen....I would love to own a car like that...
Make note of the painted driveshaft , and black coating stripped off the tailpipes . Why ?????

Well my understanding is not all tailpipes were painted black from the factory, and looking at those pictures that is a factory exhaust. I'm not sure about the drive shaft, hard to say if the factory didn't do something weird or maybe it was sprayed at the dealer? I also noticed on the RPO Label that car did not come with any floor mats from the factory which also is odd, I mean I know floor mats were an option but you would've thought a GN buyer would at least want floormats.

I had thought that regardless if it were an undercoated car or not, they all had the coated tailpipes , GN's and T's .If you look close , it almost looks like there is some remnant of black up high on them , like it was removed .

On a factory Original exhaust, the Tailpipes are welded to the muffler as are the over the axle pipes so removing just the tailpipes you would have to cut them off which I don't see in those pics. Also you can't take the muffler/tailpipe/over the axle pipes exhaust section off of a car without having to cut some part of it which I also don't see. I've read from other forum members that have factory exhaust without painted tailpipes.

for the car's mileage(if it's accurate) and the Price...

I did notice some things missing in some of the pics but it looks pretty nice....

John Scotti is super expensive. I'm surprised they haven't called me. They usually do whenever they get a TB in. I don't know how they even got my information.

I'm sure not feeling that engine bay at anything near the price they are asking...

IMO......That is outrageous. Yeah that's a ULTRA low mile GN and I understand that in the wrapper type GNs are hard to find. Although with over 25k 86-87 GNs produced there out there. But when you start approaching GNX dollars that a bit much. Those caliber GNs (again IMO).....low $40's is strong money......$35ish is decent not a steal but not over paying.....$30k would be a great buy. 55-60k is big time price gouging. Again that kinda money will get you into a GNX. Not likely a low mile mint one but one with a few miles & a imperfection or two.

Want to make sure this is in the lounge . . Lol
I am probabbly going to get flamed but here is my take on this . . . . .

Whatever the asking price, it's up to the seller, regarless of market or public opinion. There is someone willing to pay that price, period.

Prices are increasing due to many reasons . . . and besides, these cars are becomming classics and finally getting the price recognition they deserve.

Typical price flaming comes down to three things. The buyer is:
1-Looking for a great deal to buy or resell.
2-Does not have the funds but wants the car.
3-Is not willing to part with the money to get the car.

It is the combination of these that made these cars affordable in past years, but the economy and time waits for no one.

You never know if you don't ask. And we all know what P.T. Barnum said about a sucker being born every minute...

Still, I have a feeling there are lots of minty GNs squirreled away by speculators looking to make a buck. It's well known that many were bought as investments back in the day. Those first to market when the market is ready will do well. Soon after, everyone will start trying to sell and it will become a buyers market. I think there are a lot of these cars around. Time will tell.

Now a non-GN. That is a different story altogether...

I totally agree....you as a seller could ask whatever you feel. Whether it's someone asking 60k for a GN or 200k for a GNX. As they say "there is ass for every seat". To a degree......
Guess I'm somewhat of a realist in terms of real time value. I'm not a buyer...as I own & have owned similar condition TRs. Just a observation....no flaming intended.

In the car market world NOTHING is certain or absolute.
