WTB Dial-A-Boost kit

I'm looking to purchase a dial-a-boost kit that one of my T-R friends had installed on his fast GN back in the late 80's. It had an electrical potentiometer that installed in the ash tray in the center floor console and allowed the user to adjust the boost easily and accurately without ever getting out of the car.

Please note that the type I'm looking for MUST be the one with an electrical potentiometer and not the vacuum bleed-off type. Any questions as to what I'm looking for just ask!

she's rare, I have seen that unit but not FS in a long while on this board. Any particular reason you need that controller? There are many other options.

The answer why I want one is quite simple - when you find parts that work well, you use them! I like the ATR version cuz it hides neatly in the ash tray location and requires no vacuum lines run inside the cockpit. It's kinda like why some guys prefer installing an electrical fuel pressure gauge in the cockpit as opposed to the type that requires an actual fuel line run inside the cockpit to the gauge (which can also be VERY dangerous).

I also don't like having to open the hood and handle hot parts near the turbo every time I wanna make minor changes to the boost level setting.

Is there another brand of boost controller that functions exactly the same as the ATR style? Electrically operated as opposed to vacuum operated? Controlled from inside the cockpit? If so, please provide mfg and P/N and any other info you have about it. Even better yet, if you know someone that has a similar product for sale please provide their contact info and the price!

well there are many electronic boost controllers, but I have never played with the ATR oldie but goodie. What functions other then not having to run vac lines in car, are you looking for specifically?

Apexi AVCR is hard to dial in but their AVCR is cheap, electrical, and controls boost in different ways. You can program it to control different psi pressures for each gear in your tranny, ex: 5, 10, 15, 20 for 1-4 gear in our GN's. Or you can program it to control boost based off RPM's, every 50 RPM incrament allows for a change in boost. This is just an example of some of its functions.
