I have a project motor about 2 years in the works that will see just over 9000RPMS It's an inline four, a long rod (a 1.86 rod ratio)2.2 turbo Chrysler that has been de-stroked to 2l. If the flywheel were to let go on that transverse mounted motor/trans, it would slice me in half-or worse I spent $1500. on a custom steel (no, not cast iron) flywheel for it.
lol that was great. How many of those guys had to toss their underwear after that happened! Then again it's a Ford pile of crap so I would only expect to see something like this happen to a Ford product anyway!
