I dont feel so bad for buying mine for 4500.00:biggrin:

Going to be a daily driver once the trans is fixed

Good save and congrats.
Other than the regular analog dash, your car looks like my car Sarahs' long lost twin sister.
Dark Blue on Blue interior WO2 black out trim '87.

Definitely a good find/save.
Congrats.

Patrick

P.S. Sarah wanted me to ask, what month your Blue T was produced on? And to say hello. :D

I'm glad you're happy with the car, and I'm not trying to down anybody.......but are all of you guys blind? This car is a rag. It's not worth anymore than the $400 he paid for it. It is a 180k mile regal. The only thing it would be good for is a complete strip and make it a drag car. The paint is shot, the suspension looks tired and sagging, I'm SURE there is rust under the body, all the bushings are and body mounts are CRUST and the front end is probably sloppier than a streetwalker on sunday morning. But if you are happy with it...................sorry for being harsh, it is just my opinion.

Its sad to say but, the parts are worth more than the car is.

I dont think the car is a rag, ive seen much worse and this car seems to need some attention, but atleast its in one piece and one hell of a steal for 400.00

Is the car worth restoring with all the time/ labor/ and expense... Maybe, maybe not, depends on who you know and what you and your friends can accomplish.

But who cares, for 400.00 let it sit and be a small investment... better than investing that 400.00 into a mutual fund over the past month.

The suspension is new with konig (?) shocks all around. Suprisingly this car has almost no rust on the underbody at all what so ever. Except for the exhaust of corse. I refuse to part this car out even if it will make me more money. Like i said, Everything is there and it wont take much to get it back. And, in 10 years i dont need anyone kickin my ass cuz i parted out the car.

Im not sure what month it was build and to be perfectly honest, i dont even know exactly what sub model you call it. All i know is that its a t-type ? or turbo t? any info on how many were made and such would be great. Sarah looks hot!!!! haha. Thanks.

$400??? Wow, and I felt kinda bad for getting my T-Type below for $3500 from the previous owner (Stock, 47k miles, I put the GN wheels on).

My best purchase was a 1970 GTO Judge Clone (no engine or tranny) for $125 which I flipped on ebay 2 years later for $2600.

Technically, in '87 they were referred to as the T package by Buick, and we the Turbo Buick community gave them all the name Turbo T. Eventho Buick only referred to the WE4s as the Turbo T package. Buick dropped the T-Type name in '87 for the Regals. Regular N/A Regals were also available with the T package which gave you the same suspension, WO2 black out trim, aluminum T wheels and buckets with leather wrapped T steering wheel and center console. These were pretty rare as well, but not really sought after as they mostly came with the anemic 307 Olds V8. There was one recent mint condition example of a Grey one that someone had for sale on here within the last few months that was really cherry. There are no real production numbers for the Dark Blue Metallic on Blue interior with black out trim '87s, but I really like the color combo myself. However, there are quiet a few Dark Blue with Black out '87 Turbo T owners on this board. Total number of Turbo Ts built in '87 shows 4268 cars with a total number of Turbo Regals in '87 at 27,590 according to the Turbo Regal Websites' figures. T-Type, Grand National, GNX Production Figures

Maybe we should start a post or a series of sticky posts, or heck, even create a new Forum where people post pics of their cars broken down by model designations. Kinda like they have on some of the other boards I visit. We could have one for GNXs, Limiteds, WE4s, T-Types, Turbo Ts and GNs. Kinda like the ultimate Show N Shine Forum. Cause let's face it, pictures of these awesome cars and what people have done to their pride and joys, are what really light the fires and get the creative juices flowing.
Just a thought.

Again, I commend you for saving that car and wanting to make a resto project out of her. Make sure to take a lot of "before" pics. Now you just need to give her a name. The name Grace comes to my mind. Call me crazy....
:D :D

Wow, that is good information. I was calling my car a Turbo T all this time and it's really a Regal with the T package. Sometimes I just call it a T-type because that's what people tend to relate to.

Good luck on your resto 87WE4 it should be a real beuty when it's done.
