alright i have a thm200 in my 82 grand national i can tell by the bell housing its not the multiple bell housing bolt pattern so my question is what would be a good replacement for this a 200-4r, thm350, thm 400 something that can support about 500hp or so

What are you going to use the car for, street or strip? The 200R4 with a proper build will handle the power and the overdrive is nice for the street.

cheapest is the 350. Stongest is the 400. As far as weight 350 is lightest and 400 is heaviest. Anything other than a 200 is a good choice but all will have to be built to hold up. The 82 will allow a 350 to go in without almost any fitment issues.

I have a 200-4R with the billet drum, etc that will handle 500 HP sitting in the shop now already built.
I also build TH350's, TH400s, 4L80Es, etc.

I'm 45 minutes from Ft. Worth and specialize in performance GM transmissions. Give me a shout if you have any questions.
