Pull the torque converter shroud, and make sure the bolts have not come loose. There should be no rotational play.
If loose it will have a lot of apparent knock at idle, but will smooth out at a higher idle.
I would say the test with the fuel soaked sticks burned under the jars does not representative how each fuels burns. The ethanol would always pass this in an oxygen starved condition as it has oxygenation properties.
Both my turbo Regals now have a fixed antenna. The fixed antenna base has a mount on the inner fender and of course is secured through the fender with the nut you described. I got my fixed masts at a swap meet, but you could look in a junk yard for any same era G-body.

I would try bypassing the hot wire relay, I've had one go bad, thank goodness it was at the end of a run at the BPG Nationals in Columbus. Just plug the original three wire connector from the car into the connector from the tank. It got me back to the pitts.
Did you change the circuit breaker in PWR ACCY spot shown on the picture above? If you have get a volt meter and make sure there is 12 volts to one of the terminals where it plugs in.

The relay for the power door locks is behind the computer in the passenger kick panel. The power for the switch side of the relay is from the CIG-CLK fuse. Hearing the click means it is operating satisfactorily.

I have compiled the A/F ratios discussed in this thread and put in a file comparing Lambda, and ratios for E-85 and Gasoline in their respective scales. I prefer to use the gasoline scale as this is what most folks refer to. Ideally using Lambda would eliminate the need to specify our A/F ratio...
