07 Ford Diesel Engine!

I know this is not the right forum but

I got a totaled 07 Ford F-250 Diesel. The engine is great. Not sure on miles but very low...

Anybody got an idea of how much I should try to sale it for?

Truck is twisted and not much else good... Will check trans, but I know motor and all componets are good. I would sale the whole package for the right price....

Not sure what it would be worth, BUT, try and get all the PCMs (powertrain control modules) I.E. Engine ECM, tranny ECM, There's a third and for the life of me I can't remember what it's called, but the truck wont run without it. Of course if you're selling it to someone that already has an 07, then the ECMs aren't a concern.

long block crates go for about $9k here, and that's for the 7.3!

Considering that is what you will pay for a new one from FORD, that sounds a little high. How much milliage is on the truck?

I work at a Ford dealership as a service advisor FWIW...

Isn't the 2007 the new 6.4? Not the 6.0?

Shane if you have a 6.0, good luck getting rid of it. If it's the new 6.4 (good motor! )

7.3's 991/2 to early 2003 (best).

I "think" it is the 6.4... I will check and find out for sure, it is an 07 though!

If I can get around 4K I would let it rip...

Shane if you have a 07 engine you have a 6.0 motor. I think a new 6.0 engine new is around 15k.

Cool, thanks guys! It is a repo and I knew it was worth more than what the ins co was offering so I kept it. If anybody needs a motor let me know:biggrin: I am going to check it out and see exatcly is left that is good. It looked like a very nice truck, I am glad I was not in the wreck

The 7.3 is legendary. The 6.4 is also a great motor. The 6.0 is the least desireable and it has the worst rep, but it can get the job done too.

Fuel Injection control module is the third.
