1-2 and 2-3 flair????

I just rebuilt my trans and now it's flairing on the 1-2 & 2-3 shift at wide open throttle.Will a super servo from Postons help this?

add an extra quart of oil and road test.then install a pressure gage and post results.we will help

Where is the gauge installed? What kind of gauge is used? What kind of reading should we get? Is there a troubleshooting guide on the net somewhere.

The pressure tap is on the driver's side toward the front of the tranny. 7/16" plug You'll need a pressure gauge that reads from 0-300psi.

Got the test gauge. At idle runs about 50-60. Runs up to about 105PSI 4000RPM before it shifts to second. Third and forth come a little easier. Never got above 115PSI.

appears to be that the throttle valve plunger is stroking the tv valve but the tv valve is not moving far enough when pushed.what are the reverse pressures at max tv?

If that's the case

115 at best, you got a problem somewhere. There are so many things it could be. How long ago was this unit built? Fresh? If so, pump area is the suspect whether it be pressure reg set up or somewhere else, but that is the place to start. Also, Ck the sump and/or filter too. This can also cause your condition. For in depth analysis, call Chris or I during the day to review. Either of us will be glad to try to help you. Either way, it will be a flow chart of things to diagnois. If you call me, I will try to go over all aspects of the problem and try to get a result. But in the end if you leave it as is, you will burn it up. 115 is just not enough , period.
