Well, was looking for a 9.90 yesterday, but thanks to constant 35mph head winds all day, it didn't happen. This car had been 10.20s @ 133mph last time out with 1.5X 60 foot times, so my plan was just to get the 60 down into the mid 1.4s and click off a 9.9X...... Well, instead up picking up 24-25mph between the 1/8 and the 1/4... it picked up 20....not enough, here are the details:
60...................1.420
330.................4.103
1/8..................6.389
MPH.................109.57
1000................8.390
1/4..................10.111
MPH.................129.62
This was on E85 (74% ethanol yesterday), hitting the scales at 3650#, on MT 255-60-15 Drag Radials, and 28psi with a billet 67 precision turbo. I drove 75 miles to the track, made 3 passes (just turning the 2 step and launch boost up each hit) and ran 10.38@129, 10.24@129, 10.11@129... with 1.50, 1.47, 1.42 60 foots respectively. I made a 4th attempt and uncorked the DP... but blew up my converter when I let off the tbrake (old school precision industries converter that I have been blowing through all year)... I'll be installing a PTC converter over the winter and look forward to driving it to the track in the spring and collecting 9.8X timeslips.
