10/20 crank

I spun a bearing and will maybe need to have my crank fixed. I have not looked at it yet. I can get a 4.1 crank that is 10/20 for cheap. It has not been used since it was done and has the fillets. Seems to me it should work well. Any thing wrong with using it if needed?

Nothing wrong with a 10/20 crank. If it's a good price, I'd use it!

Make sure that it's got the rolled fillets on it and you should be ok.

it does and it will be $100-$125 range. A good friend has it and it is in town.

I went mid 10's in a full weight GN for 4 years on a 20/20 stock crank with no issues and believe me that motor saw some serious abuse in that 4 years! It went to the track dozens of times and saw a lot of "street action" incuding a couple high speed bonzi runs with exteneded WOT time in overdrive which is hard on a bottom end.

The crank that was in the engine in the blue car that I flogged for over 2 years with over 200 dyno hits, 30 quarter passes at the strip, and probably 1000 or more hits on the street was .020/.020. It's still mint and doesn't even need polishing to re-use. Most over 500whp. The car ran 10.61.

turns out my crank is fine, just needed polishing. They checked every thing out for me. The block just needed cleaning and new cam bearings. I got real lucky.

Wow. Spun a bearing with a stock crank and it only needs polishing? Those cranks are so soft if you breath on them to hard they get lined up.

Thought I spun a bearing, i did not. Oil pickup was lose and had low oil pressure and got a knock. Got a buddy to come get me with a trailer. I was real lucky.
