I am looking into getting a set of 15x10 Pro Stars for the track. I have 15x8 Pro Stars on the back now w/275/60/15 MT DR's that BARELY rub. With the new girdled/GN1/224 roller/T70 engine, I want to get a lil more tire under it fo rthe track and the track only. I am going to retain the 8" wheels for the street. What BS should I get. Also plan on putting in longer wheel studs and open ended lugs.

TIA

28X9 ET Drags will fit fine on an 8X15 w/4" backspace......can't imagine you would need more tire (low 1.4x 60' times on my car)

the next size bigger slick 28X10 will require either fender roll or notch or both...particularly on a 15X10 rim.....the most common bs is 5-5.5 but that definitely needs a notch

you "may" be able to get 28X10's on a 15X8 rim (3 3/4 BS) to work with just a fender roll

Wrong Way Peach Fuss

:o Get 15" by 7" with a 3 1/2" back spacing for more clearance with big tires. The thiner width will bring the sidewalls in, I run true 28" by 10" Goodyear slicks in stock wheel openings and I still have some clearance. BFG years ago said that a rim should be 70% as wide as the tread (rule of thumb). My street Regal has run 1.4's shorts on the foot brake this way and over 130 mph in the 1/4 mile "years ago" with this setup.:D :D :D

15x10 with 5" backspace will fit with minor fenderlip rolling. but the biggest tire on that setup would be a 275/60.

Yeah, I don't see how it would be possible to run a 15x10 with 28x10.5x15 slick without the frame notch. At least not on my car.

thanks guys, guess I will stick with what I have until I get the frame notched.

I'm running 28/10.5 ET drags on 15x8's 3.5" BS with airbags and the fenders rolled...Never touches unless I forget to add air to the bags and even then it's barely.
