1983 Regal T-Type. Limited model. AZ/CA car. (No GN's that year) 1 of 3732. Very light tan original paint. 2nd owner since about 1987. Quit driving it about 3 weeks ago. (Have another '83 that I bought new that I'm driving now). Last of the big 4 bbl carbs. 160,200 miles. Car in Northern Calif; hour and a half West of Reno.
It has a lot of 'nits' that I don't have time to work on. Could use the garage space.

Walk around flaws:

Head liner fabric drooping in about 3 places. (Brown interior)
Right front bumper strut stroked--bumped pole in parking garage.
A/C runs in vent position. Still F12 freon.
RT window motor no good. Door lock switch doesn't work.
Trans slipping between gears at full throttle. TV cable?
Exhaust header minor cracks.
Using oil--crank ventilation? or valve guide seals? Still gets 20 mpg.
High beam flickers after about 15 minutes--electrical problem.
Cabin top light--electrical leak in circuitry--bulb left out.
After market radio.
New shocks lousy.
Carb vacuum breaks not adjusted.
Ignition switch; faulty in column--hard to get out of 'lock' position.
Body has 'hangar rash".
Tires are mickey mouse.
Hood insulation tattered.
Left headlight plastic surround cracked.

(Other than that--it's a great car!! Really!)
Can send detailed pictures. Write cammack@cwo.com

NadaGuides guesses it is worth about 6 big ones; what do you think?.

id say 4-5k on a good day. the body is in good shape and it looks very complete. The trans issue & burning oil are going to hurt your negotiations through

Thanks. 4 or 5 would work. If it gets down to 2 or 3, I will probably keep it for a parts car. It's complete.

Yep, probably get $1500 at best for it. There has been 3 for sale here locally for $1000-$1500 that havent sold.

OK

Guess that is why I built a 4 car garage! Bummer is my other '83 with a rebuilt engine is getting 17 mpg--the one I retired 20!

Going to be a long winter--maybe I will repair it???? NO, parts!

Talked to a guy who spent 3 days at the Reno Hot August Nights.---said cars that had been restored for 80 big ones were selling for 40. The auctioneer walked off in disgust.

The bottom dropped out.

Any body say any bad words about buick mixing metric and inch bolts under the hood???

Phil

I say build the crap out of it!!!!!!! Make it a 10 second car and have fun with it! Sell the other car to by parts!
