Hello all i have come across a 1987 buick grand national it is a hard top black and a beautiful car it has 5304 miles on it .It is owned by a 74 year old man. The car has manual windows and locks no cruise it has ac the car runs and drives beatufil. He is asking 20.000 does this seem overpriced. I would appreciate the help this car is gorgous

With that mileage, it seems like a steal.

It's a good price as long as everything is working on the car.

Was it garaged?
How is the paint? Checked? How is the powermaster?
Have all the fluids been changed? oil, tranny, rear end , brake, coolant
Are tires original?
Just be sure to carefully check over the entire car. Does it come with any maintenance records?

Frank

the car is spotless he says it has been garaged since new oil cheged every 500 miles it has the original tires on it everything works

...5k miles ???...is that a misprint?...if not that car wasnt driven much and theres a chance you will have to replace most if not all rubber or any type of seals in the car...regardless if that is the mileage that is a deal...i think i would buy it...noah.

Go to the bank and take out a loan and BUY IT! Or just write a check out in the sellers name and go get the title changed...NOW! Then sell the car on e-bay for $35,000. Take the money you made on profit and buy another one to drive.:D

the weather strip is perfect the car has been garaged its whole life. I thought the fact the car had manual windows and locks and no cruise would make the value low. Are you sure it is worth 20k it has 5000 original miles

Get it or tell me where it's located!!!

Found this on e-bay from a person telling a seller that his price is too low! He wants 23,998 for a 14K mile GN.

Q: your asking price is way low! I just sold a 13k mile gn for 30k! hardtop 110 % original, mint paint, tires, exhaust. Jun-24-07
A: I figure on ebay that was the money. I might raise a little next run. Thanks Scott

I prefer manual door locks and windows in a G-body, it doesn't hurt the value at all in my humble opinion.

20k is the deal of the century for that mileage. The fact that is a low option car actually adds to the value, there weren't too many "bare bones" equipped cars made.

just out of curiosity, does the car have: 1. concert sound speakers in the doors? 2. radio with cassette and equalizer or no equalizer(just separate treble and bass control) 3. lighted passenger side mirror on visor ? 4. power antenna?
5. body moulding 6. posi rear end (code g80- I think) 7. driver power seat.

Just curious about the options.

Stop wasting time.
Bring this guy $20,000

One of my 1987 turbo cars has 9k miles and no problems with seals, rubber or anything else but the crap paint job from the factory.

Non power options may prove to be a sweeter deal in the future as the powered stuff eventually will break. My window motor in the passenger side of my TTA is starting to slow down and is sounding weird. Another thing to have to fix...I'd think that $20,000 for that low mile of a car is pretty fair if it as perfect as it sounds.

I think the car will be a great deal. I have a low option 87 GN. It has no power locks, windows, antenna, and no concert sound. I think that the car is a little lighter than most because of the reduced accesories.

20k is a steal for that mileage, I paid over 15k for mine and it had 26,000miles.

Mine also has manual windows/locks/seats and manual options are actually more rare.

Direct answer - It's not overpriced, it's underpriced.
As previously stated, it's a steal.

I'm going to go cry now because I want it for myself

...grumble grumble....dang low mileage GN owners....grumble grumble...
