200 4r shift RPM adjust?

please dont yell at me and tell me to search... lol i know this is a common question but i cant find specific answers...

so here we go. i have a bowtieoverdrives level 3 200 4r.. with GN govinor.. it shifts at 56-5700 now at wot 1/2 and 2/3 and about 4000 3/4. id like to bump these up to 6000-6100 or so... (i dont care about OD shift) whats the easiest way?

trial & error

You have to pull the gov out & lighten the small wt. by drilling a couple of holes on the outer edge. You could prob. start out with two 1/8in. holes.

77 cruiser - thanks for the info.. ill have the pan and vave body out this weekend.. so from there i should beable to get the governor out? than the less mass on the small weight the higher the shift?

u talking wot or not? If not, adjusting the tv cable a notch or 2 to the soft will bring in4th gear sooner.. otherwise wot means a governer change/modification

yes im talking WOT. i thought OD was coming in too soon.. :-/ but it dosent matter. basically i just want the WOT 1/2 and 2/3 to be 400 rpm higher.

You don't have to drop the VB the gov is four 13 mm. or 1/2 in head bolts behind the VB.
