Hello All,
I am doing a bucket seat conversion and installing a 200-4R transmission into a '67 Skylark. I have a couple consoles, and over last weekend I pulled a shifter setup from a 3-speed Regal. I need to change the detent plate to get the overdrive stop.
Rather than buying another shifter, I am looking at the DC Tech 200-4R Shifter Detent Plate. Like this: http://www.gbodyparts.com/product_i...d=589&osCsid=c092ae8912e42c22aa6d54f2fed905b9
In the description they describe that it was developed for use with the Stage Right Trans Brake system and that it is "Great for racing with the stock shifter." Is there any reason to think this would not work well for a purely street application as well?
Any thoughts would be great!
JM
