Just rebuilt my trans yesterday all went well thanks to the atsg manual ,but i have to keep messing with the tv cable to get a 1-2 shift and there is no 2-3 shift and im not even sure there is a 3-4 shift becouse 2-3 dosnt shift. What could i do to correct the problem's with it,some detailed help would be apreciated.

Please help:confused: Should i take valve body out and clean each valve with scotch brite pad's.I do not know the location of the valves in question thou.

TV Valve may be sticking, Look at this diagram & parts list at bottom should help.
Valve Body
Thanks for the reply which ones should i pay close attention too i have a atsg manual, 1-2 shift sometimes ok i have to mess with tv cable,no 2-3 shift at all.

ATSG Manual has pages in the front with Info on No 1-2, & No 2-3 shift problems. Since you're having trouble with both I'd look at the Servo info. since it's mentioned in 1-2 & 2-3 No shift section. The No 2-3 shift section has a lot of things to check. The Servo will be the easiest 1 tho'. Maybe you'll get lucky.:)

I was just checking out those 2 section's thanks for the reply.I dont think it is the servo thou becouse for the 1-2 shift i have to mess with the cable which leads me to beleive the valve is stuck,i also think cause the 1-2 valve is stuck it may be a stuck 2-3 valve also maybe a dirty valve body . Let me know what you think thou.Im gonna buy a ck servo anyways and a ck seperator plate to be on the safe side.

Maybe dirt or burrs on the valves. Get a fine honing stone & smooth all the edges on the valve lands when you drop the Vbody for the plate. Do them 1 at a time so you don't mix them up. Use Brake cleaner & compressed air for any gunk.

Did you air check the direct clutches after they were assembled in the trans through the oil feeds?

Thanks for the reply, I think this may be my problem .Im gonna clean those valves up 1 by one to see if it works if not, then i gues it will be a process of eleimination for me

Jim Hopefully the valves will be the problem.
The air checks Bison talked about ensures none of the piston, clutch hub, shaft seals etc. were damaged during assembly. This can & should also be done when you drop the valve body. If you had CK's manual it shows where all of them are. Maybe Bison or Chris can send you a picture of the case oil feed holes. You will need an air tank or compressor and a rubber tipped blow gun will help. A small cheap compressor like is used to inflate tires and air tank would work, it would be slow but will work.

I have a air tank and i can get a rubber tip.All i need now is the location's of the area's to check. What will i be looking for in these air checks?

Made a discovery this thanks giving day.removed the valve body on the cold street where i live and discovered this below. Will this couse a weird 1-2 shift That i had to mess witht the cable for and no 2-3 shift at all?Aparently i did not put it together right when i installed the transgo spring in there.

Any suggestions on a new spring for it.The spring is mangled to high heaven.
I tryed to fix it but no luck broke.

Jim if that's the stock Accumulator spring that is mangled. It should have been left out according to instructions if you have the TransGo HD2 kit . It's replaced with the Red one from the HD2 kit.

This is the tv valve.I think the larger spring iin the center of the valve is waht i replaced it was red.The papaer is in the trash now i should have saved it.
