Will be installing 1 in a customers car right after new years. Also have 1 in my 86 caprice.put about 500 miles on it and works flawless.locks hard and dont creep.dual orifice gives instant release.no valve body drilling or crazy plumbing.whoever is on the hook for one you wont be disappointed.AND NO DEEP PAN NEEDED.

still hoping for one that will work in second gear (i.e. launch in 2, so that the first shift occurs automatically)

It isnt that I cant do it.Problem is the lo clutch isnt on in d2 first gear and if you dont use it to hold the rear carrier during launch you can flatten the accordian springs in the lo roller clutch assembly.Im sure I could make lo oil and d2 together but Im not going to make a 1 of unless I get paid for my time to do it.If you are interested I can build one that keeps it on in lo 2 but it wont be cheap. Not being an ass but my time is valuable.

thanks, a straightforward answer was what I was looking for.

If I'm reading this right

If you don't already have the bleed hole in direct drum then trans will have to be disassembled?
