Please vote below and tell me what your main issues were with the following 4 topics:

1. Gate admission and fees to race (Too high?).
2. Safety rules too strict.
3. Payouts not enough.
4. Lack of vendors.

Believe me, I cant solve all the problems or complaints but I want to know what is bothering people at the event. Please post some comments as well with your problems. Thanks in advance!

I voted the racing rules are too strict. I did not affect me other than I had to remove my video camera from inside the car. It will not affect me returning, but some made mention they will not be back. It would be nice if there is something that can be done so people with clean/fast street cars can run there with some minor safety exceptions that does not interfere with specific class race rules.

Agreed. No Power Logger was not my favorite rule but I snuck it in on Sunday.

No problems for me. I will return to the event without thinking twice. Matter of fact looking forward to the next one.

Thanks, Kip

I had a great time , had no problems whatsoever with the NTR folks and would gladly go back next year. Just wish I was allowed to race in the quick 16!! Mike:cool:

Clint Im glad to see that you have come out from under whatever rock you hiding!! Really hope to see you at BG!! I look forward to it my friend!! Mike:cool:

Only issue for me is the car show parking by the stands. Why did they have to leave that prime pit space open for the show cars? Other than that (which is not really that bad) I had no problem with the event. Maybe if they could loosen up on the rules so I wouldn't have to hear people complain so much.

Kevin, did you hear very many complaints from the people at the race you talked to or are your reffering to what you have read on here after getting home? Reason I ask is, on here I see complaining about the pricing but I hang out with a bunch of tight wads and nobody said a word about it there.

Your buddy, Kip

Come to think of it, its all been on here. I always expect it to cost 40-50 bucks a day at an event like this. All I know is, I had a great time and will back next year.

$50.00 for my wife and i to walk around and see a few cars go down the track. Stayed 3 hours before the rain hit. Will not be back.

Sorry to hear that. We got there right before the rain to race a car, got it unloaded and the rain came. Hung out for a litle while talking to people and the rain stopped/ it cooled off. The track did a good job drying the track and it was off to the races again until 9pm or so. I think we still got 5 passes in that day.

Take care, Kip

Vending area will be moved next year to behind the grandstand....that main area is reserved for the special event after all it is not all about racing..that will leave the vending area this year left to the racers/groups that wish to park there...Spectator pricing is being addressed...this was the first time in 3 years we raised the prices by $5.00...Safety is safety..we did get the track to budge on some issues such as laptop a..was not aware of camera issue till later.. all though there are a few in car vids on you tube...next time do not have it mounted when you go thru tech..lol..just remember there have been alot of racing accidents these past few years where safety equipment was the difference between life or death or serious injury....

The Real racers and enthuiast will be there. I don't mind the 14+ hour drive. It's a nice track and there is always good races.

I enjoyed the event thoroughly. They yelled at me for a camera inside the car (BUT NOT THE ONE HANGING OFF THE FENDER) and having a laptop in the car. Next year I will be completely legal.

Jason

Thanks very much for the comments everyone and keep them coming. Realize that Im not Moses and I cant part the seas (though John Schmidt possibly can;)) but in all seriousness, we are looking to fix these issues to make next year's event a real success. I have talked on the phone, gotten emails, chatted online with people who have been upfront with their issues and we are glad people are telling us the issues so we can attempt as best as we can to fix them. Keep the comments/criticism coming b/c if we dont hear about the issues, we cant fix it!;)

You bring up a good point. While some complain about car count, when it's low you can drive up to the front of the staging lanes and buckle up there and you are going down the track in 5 mins or less. A track rental up here that offers this costs $100.00 for 4 hours so if you need to get some testing done you can't beat the situation down there. The track was indeed in good shape after the rain.

FYI I have gotten numerous e-mails and PM's regarding this...Anthony is now a Buick Performance Group Board of Director...at this point he is working on the T-Party Bash....he has some great ideas..and the BPG welcomes him
