295/55/15 Drag Radials on Vector wheels

You are correct.
That's why I use air bags inside the coil springs
If you're making reasonable power drag radials are the way to go
 
If you are using stock T wheels go with 255/60/15 MT
If using a vector 275 or 295
And if using a vector you will need shanked lug nuts
Stock t wheels acorn style lug nuts
 
The 255s fit the 7" rim well. The 275/50s and 275/60s are too wide for 7" rims. The sidewall bulges out and rubs the frame. The center of the tire also wears out faster.
