You WILL NOT believe what I saw today in a LITTLE town in Kansas!!!

A 4 speed car (legit) checked the vin! Needs paint, interior fair, complete car. Calling the owner tonight.

I took 4 pics on my phone if you want me to send them to you.

His brother said oh,,,,,,,,,,,,,, how bout $500 but I better check with myy brother for sure:eek:

A TATA c ar?? Holy smokes, that would be awesome! Send the pics. I think you now get almost everything for them from Performance Years or YearOne, I perfer PY myself..not sure why...I guess cause they are a smaller company. I can sure help you if you need any pics of how something is supposed to be on the car if needed.

Hey, are you going to BG this year?? Seems like I saw apost where you and 2Quick-n-KC were talking about going, we were planning to meet for dinner one night at Montana's if so, come join us.

Not to mention its been repainted and seats recovered for only a 13k mile car...stripes on the back and spoiler are not correct, and the recovered seats are too puffy looking..which is what the repros look like, I see they tried very hard not to include a good straight on pic of the seats for that reason. The seller better jump all over that first bid they have.
 
Yeah, but it does come with the cool Jacket and the sweet retro Craig stereo with EQ-Booster!! :rolleyes: Throw in a Billy Squire tape and I'm SOLD!!

I had to click on the link to see the seller's home state as I ASSumed it had to be either GA or AL. I was wrong....... AZ!

My thoguhts too..maybe high $20s for that high (36k mile) car..I've seen a few with the plastic still on the seats with less than 2k miles sell for less, usually in the low $40s.
Anyone can purchase those Pace Car decals and put on the car..it was a dealer option back then and could be put on any car at the dealer, so there's no RPO code or any way to know if it was original...I've thought about putting them on mine since my TTA has them on it...heck I guess I could put the pace car decals on the '99 also :)

Because it's ebay and everyone who is selling a classic car has a strong case of Barrett-Jacksonisits. And because it's a 10th anniversary car. Which to me means a paint and decal package but to others means $$$$$$$$$.

I so cannot wait until the day the market drops on old iron.
 
it is more than just paint and decals on the 10th cars though. They had the silver leather interior with the birds embroidried into the rear seat and the door panels as well. The only way you got one in 79 with a real pontiac 400 was if you ordered it with the 4 speed stick, all automatics came with the 403 olds motors in them. They also had the 8 in turbo wheels , not the 7's on them, 4 wheel disc brakes also, 30 grand on that car is about right guys, the second gen trans ams have been gaining value over the last 4 or 5 years quickly and low milage cars with very little or no rust are getting hard to find so people are paying a lot for them. It would be worth about 5 grand more easy if it was the 4 speed car . Daniel Ray

Do some research om a 10th TATA before you post........................:rolleyes: Thats like saying GNX is a GN with fender flares...........................................................

Did NASCAR use that logo back in '79? I thought that logo was relatively new.
