What he said.
There are exhaust couplers if you need them, most muffler shops will open up one end of a 3" straight tube or both ends if needed to create a coupler slip fit for a few bucks if not free.
I doubt the Pypes system would be any different than the rotted hooker, should have a stock type GM flange if it's made for a Buick.
At least the ones pictured on their website did.
A test pipe is the same thing as a dump pipe without the side port, it goes between the downpipe and the exhaust system flange in place of a cat, just like a dump pipe which has the additional side outlet for a cutout or uncapped open exhaust if you loosen it manaully.
If you are buying a converter back system from Pypes in stainless it has the GM flange already on it per their website.
You should buy the proper dump pipe in the correct length to fit between the downpipe from G body and the Pypes exhaust and buy the electric cutout to fit the dump pipe side port.
Otherwise you will need to fit the cutout from Badlandz onto the G body downpipe and make sure the length is proper to the pypes stock location flange and then have a GM flange welded onto that 3" cutout pipe.
I did not see a badlandz cutout with a GM flange on it on that website, if there was one it MIGHT fit those products.
Proper length of the dump pipe assembly is important whatever you use with mixed parts, perhaps G body has a dump pipe to fit their downpipe then a more traditional cutout assembly like the one Mark sells would probably fit that dump pipe.
It's always going to take some measuring and engineering to buy 3 separate parts and mate them up for an exhaust sytem.
Learned that the hard way with trying to fit a high flow random tech. cat. on the car with a TDHP. In place of a test pipe, ie. hollow THDP 3" cat.
