Ok guys we are about 2 weeks from getting these done. Not doing a big run unless we can get a lot of I'm in.
Right now we are doing 5 or 6. Not the normal 20-30 plus we do for the 86-7's.
Down pipe only $550
Down pipe w/ test $575
Down pipe w/ dump $600.

You can place your order now & get on the list. If we get over 10 maybe 15 we can do a 20 run which will lower the price.

Some questions here...

I am interested, but...

Forgive my newbie questions, but for clarification, can you please tell me where your designed downpipe would hookup and what would it include. Please see the attached picture for the reference. Please correct me if I am wrong with my descriptions.

1. Downpipe (to cat)
2. Up-pipe (from headers)
3. Turbo Elbow
4. Exhaust side housing
5. Intake side turbo
6. Wastegate actuator
7. Wastegate lever

Would your #1 hookup to number #3? Or would it hookup to #4 directly?
If it hooks up to #4 directly, what do I do with #6 and #7?

Can you describe the difference between the three options.

I am aware that exhaust flow is extremely important for these cars. But, given my current upgrades (see my signature), would this be a good next upgrade? I do want to take advantage of a good company like gbodyparts making one of these rather than taking it to my local exhaust shop and pay as much.

Thanks.

the area in red is what will be replaced. if you are currently running stock elbow with any size downpipe, its going to be a very good upgrade. you will need to retune of course to take full advantage of it. biggest benefits will be seen once you've upgraded from stock headers, uppipe, turbo, etc...

What kind of tuning...

tb3 thanks for the answers,

but what kind of tuning are you talking about...

Also, since the new downpipe has a built-in internal wastegate, do I have to modify my actuator to hook-up to it?

Do you recommend Postons for the headers and up-pipe? Any other vendors for the hotair headers?

I already have a good free flowing cat-back, I now need the rest.

i'm fixing to blast outta here, some others will chime in.
tuning: your turbo's going to want to spool faster, also should get a couple more lbs of boost. you don't want kr, so your gonna have to adjust boost and fuel accordingly. read up on turbotweak chips, powerlogger, wideband, etc... if you want to really get serious about the tuning

shouldn't have to modify waste gate if he's bulding them with the rjc flange.

only aftermarket headers available are the postons. some have complained because of bad welds though. flow and design are about as good as you can get imo if you want to keep the same stock uppipe situation. be sure and get a good aftermarket uppipe, stockers are very restrictive. jaysgn.com sells one, but it fit like crap on my car. had to cut and reweld to get a decent fit

x2 here. Forget Postons uppipe(solid) and go with JayGN(mine fit). Brad

here

here is a picture of what it will look like. they built the downpipes using my old one in these pictures. hope this helps. mine has a hole in it for the use of a wideband so disregard the bung. it will fit with the a/c and its more then you will need. o and if you want to get real crazy you can easly set it up for a external gate.

one other thing. my 5 dollar rattle can held up better then my jet hot coat you see on the up-pipe
