I am running a t70 right now and looking into a 72 q trim. I was wanting to know if you are using a on center or Tangential Housing? And how hard is it to install a tangential housing turbo on these cars? And last, what a/r housing should I be getting with my set up. I was thinking of a .81.
 
i am going 4 bolt with a 70 p-trim with a Tangential .81 exhaust housing. i am told that this is a big housing and the spool will be a little slower but i am running a 400 with a brake so i am not worried about it. i don't drive the car that much. i am welding my downpipe up right now. that is what holds most people back because you can't just buy a downpipe. i may end up making a few extra downpipes. if you go 4 bolt make sure you get the TA headers because they are NICE and provide a lot of room for a downpipe.....Bob
 
I have had a 4 bolt for years now. And I can fab. so thats not an issue. I am after info on the a/r and housing from someone who has run a 4 bolt. Thanks. But what are you making the dp out of? And I run atr headers.
 
Not yet but in the spring i will have tangential 4 bolts on both my cars. The stage 2 will have a .96 with a GTS minimum and the 109 will be the T72 of 70GTQ with a .69 (70GTQ)or .81 (T72). If you have 4 bolt headers it isnt too bad if you can fab a dp. The compressor housing clearance changes and the wastegate location will need to be changed. I will be using N2O on both cars to spool really fast.

i am using 3 1/2" mild steel for now so if i screw up i haven't lost too much. i am planning on doing a stainless 4" after i cut my teeth in on this one...Bob

Nick Micale (ArizonaGN) i bought the stainless version here and the fit is perfect. Nicks a great guy by the way and knows a lot about these cars...Bob
